Our Safti-Keeper® containment system has application where spillage or breakage of normal medical specimen containers can cause exposure or contamination to technical personnel or others.
The Safti-Keeper® is the ideal containment system for safely transporting test tubes and specimen containers. It consists of a heavy gauge, high density polyethylene pouch with a perforated liner featuring microfunnels®. These microfunnels® produce a one-way flow that channels liquids away from nonliquid products. If a container breaks or leaks, liquid flows to the bottom of the Safti-Keeper® where it is trapped, reducing the occurrence of spilling or splashing. The Safti-Keeper® is clear, permitting technical personnel to see the condition of the specimen/sample, dictating safe handling procedures. The patented Safti-Keeper® features an inner VisPore® liner of perforated polymer fabric. This special film features state-of-the-art microfunnels® that allow liquids to pass through to the outer wall of the pouch where they are trapped by optional absorbent material. The perforated liner then minimizes reabsorption.
